They suggest:

  1. Dress Professionally – Dress as if you were conducting an interview in person or interviewing in person
  2. Be Prepared – Do research on the role and company and have your resume sent in advance
  3. Be Personable – Keep eye contact, speak clearly, and behave professionally to show you are a good fit for the company
  4. Remove Distractions – A huge one in the age of video interviewing – make sure you remove things that could be distractions and take your interview in a quiet place of your home. The same goes for interviewers. Keeping your field of view uncluttered will really help you to stay focused
  5. Follow Up – Follow up on the job position and thank your interviewer for the video interview. Kindness and professional behavior can make a huge difference
