There are millions of small, medium, and large organizations in the business world. Each organization has its own history of growth and guidelines in regards to how the company should operate to be successful. But what make each company really unique?
The answer is Core Values: set of beliefs that influences all company actions and decisions, which shape the way the company behaves. Core values are the basis of how your company functions. Your values will set you apart from your competition and make your company truly unique, and these values are required to achieve the mission and goals of your organization.
Establishing core values can be tricky for businesses, both young and old — especially when trying to ensure those values are neither generic nor unreliable. In fact, many companies will update their core values as the business matures, adapts, and changes. Companies should try to establish their company values as a team instead of just the leader or management. By doing so, everyone in the company would feel like they belong and they would feel needed, not neglected.
Here are examples of well-known companies and their company values:
- Humbleness and willpower
- Leadership by example
- Daring to be different
- Togetherness and enthusiasm
- Constant desire for renewal
- Accept and delegate responsibility
Here, at Celayix we have the following core values:
The value of accountability is the willingness to take responsibility for one’s own actions. We take personal accountability for our actions and results. Focus on finding solutions and achieving results, actively engage in discussions and commit to decisions once they are made. We involve others in decisions and plans that affect them, and personally commit to the success and well-being of teammates
Adaptability means an ability to change and maintain effectiveness in a changing environment. The critical ingredient to adaptability is remaining effective when everything is changing. We’re always looking for simpler, more efficient ways to work.
Our work time takes up 1/3rd of our life time. And our life time is limited. So, there is no time to do things that make you unhappy. We believe that happy people have the ability to achieve extraordinary things. And in the business world, happy employees equal happy clients, and that’s not just good for business, it’s good for personal well-being, too.
